Podcasts are a growing craze. To date, according to Podcast Insights® there are more than 1 million published podcasts with more than 155 million people listening to podcasts.
With podcasts and listeners growing at an exponential rate, you don’t want to be left behind. For people who are new to podcasts, how they work, how to find something to listen to, or how to simply listen to a podcast are just a few of the questions you might have.
Luckily, we have a few tips to make finding and listening to a podcast simple, easy and fun. We at Red Shoes Inc. just launched Sole Source, our first podcast, so we will use that as our example.
Here’s how you can listen:
- On your smartphone:
You can use Apple Podcasts. If you have an Android device, you can use Google Podcasts. Otherwise, Spotify, Stitcher and a number of other podcast hosting apps can be downloaded on either Apple or Android devices. All these podcast hosting sites can be found and downloaded for free in your iTunes Store or Google Playstore.
- Search for Sole Source:
Now that you’ve downloaded a podcast listening app on your smartphone or tablet, go to the search bar and search for Sole Source. The logo will look like this:
- Subscribe to follow:
Select the Sole Source podcast and hit the “Subscribe” button. By subscribing to a podcast, you are alerted each time a new episode is published. In the instance of Sole Source, a new show is published every Monday.
- Scroll through episodes:
It’s as simple as going through the list and finding an episode that interests you and hit the play button.
- Review our podcasts:
Lastly, after listening to a few episodes, hit the “Review” button and leave a review with your thoughts on the podcast overall and feel free to share an episode with your friends via text message or through social media posts, by simply sharing the link.
That’s it! That’s all there is to listening to a podcast. I hope you found this helpful and happy listening.
If you want to subscribe to our podcast, Sole Source, it can be found on all major podcast streaming services, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Google Podcasts.
