About 14 years ago my husband and I made the decision to move back to Wisconsin from California. Originally from Stevens Point, we were living out on the West Coast but made a very mindful decision about where to raise our growing family. Fast forward 14 years, four boys, one business and more accomplishments under our belt, and we have never looked back. Growing up in Stevens Point I always remember making the trip to Appleton to enjoy the benefits of a “big city” without the challenges of a congested metropolis. Today, we enjoy what so many others have contributed to over the years. The Fox Valley is a special place. I’ve never lived in an area where philanthropy and giving are so much at the heart of a community. There is an inner connectedness that is hard to describe but I, and I’m sure many others, feel it each and every day.
I am grateful to be a part this connectedness with my participation in Rebuilding Together Fox Valley’s annual fundraiser, Cuisine for a Cause. Many of us take for granted the joys of owning a home, while others are overwhelmed by the pitfalls. Rebuilding Together Fox Valley comes to the aid of our neighbors throughout the community who are unable to make needed repairs or updates to their homes that some of us would not think twice about. I think it’s important to keep in mind that your donations to this local cause matter and are impacting real lives. That’s why I’m asking for your support to help others throughout our community. This is our way of helping our friends and families right here in the Fox Valley.
